The Not So Hair-Brained GREEN Idea
Blue Ridge Eco Shop opened its doors to Central Virginia in August of 2007.
The owners, Paige and Hakon Mattson, developed the store’s concept while in the Peace Corps. After working on a sustainable eco-farm in Costa Rica, they decided they wanted to share their passion for the environment and make being ‘green’ accessible and affordable to the everyday consumer.
The Mattson’s moved back to Virginia and began the planning and opening of their new store, the Blue Ridge Eco Shop.
